A community café and restaurant in the park 

Come along to taste some Ethiopian cuisine in the lovely setting of Palmer Park, not far from Reading town centre. Take a seat in the Victorian Palmer Park Lodge, or relax on the terrace overlooking the play park.

Enjoy a hot meal at lunchtime or have some cake and coffee. You might like to have your private event in our dining room, which can be booked in the evenings.

Opening times

Tuesdays to Fridays 11:00 to 16:00

Saturdays 10:00 to 16:00

Hot food is served from 11:00 to 15:00

Our food

A tasty and nutritious selection of meat and vegetarian stews, served with the Ethiopian traditional pancake, injera.

We also serve a range of cold and toastie sandwiches and other snacks

Our venue

We’re in Palmer Park Lodge, which has a beautiful dining room where you can have your coffee or lunch. With seating for 50 guests, it is well suited to private functions such as staff parties, poetry readings and music evenings.  

Our terrace, which overlooks the play park, is a wonderful place to meet in summer. 

Catering and festivals

I provide catering for special events including outdoor festivals, serving up some delicious meals from my instantly recognisable van.

How to get to Tutu’s

Take any of the following buses and get off at Palmer Park: Purple 17, Lion 4, Lion X4, Orange 13, Orange 14, The London Line 701, The London Line 702

Lock your bike to the racks on the terrace or store it in our lock-up.

The Palmer Park Leisure Centre has free parking for up to three hours.
